Santa Claus’ Own French toast
For this recipe, you will need:
- A large sliced ‘brioche’ style sweetened bread - Butter – Superfine sugar and powdered sugar - Cinnamon
Butter the slices of bread generously. Mix two cupfuls of sugar and one of cinnamon in a bowl. With a spoon, sprinkle the mixture all over each slice of buttered bread until the butter is completely covered. Ask an adult to preheat the oven for 10 minutes at 450°F. Arrange the slices on the oven tray, place the tray near to the grill until the caramel turns a dark color. |

Ask an adult to remove the tray from the oven. Be careful not to burn yourself! Meanwhile, trace the outline of the designs you will find by clicking here, onto stiff card. Cut round the shapes to make yourself a stencil. Enjoy yourselves decorating each slice by sprinkling the powdered sugar gently over the stencils – it’s the touch that’s sure to impress! |
